New Delhi. Every artist has his own journey. Many times the story of coming to Mumbai from another city and starting a career in films is also very filmy. The journey to Mumbai was definitely difficult for Paatal Lok web series actor Jaideep Ahlawat, but today when he remembers it, a smile comes on his face.
In an interview, Jaideep said that when I came to Mumbai from Rohtak, I had to live in a house with one bedroom, living room and kitchen. When I went inside the house for the first time, I wondered how can such a small house be. There was only space for a single bed in the bedroom, which used to get filled with the clothes of six of us.
Then one day my friend took me for an audition
He further said that we had to stay in the living room. Initially, two of us had taken a room, then four more people came one by one. We thought that if we stay together, we will be able to save each other's rent. Then one day my friend took me for an audition. I stood there for 15-20 minutes, then a man came and said that I am not fit, meaning I am not fit for that role.
I didn't study acting to stand out in a crowd
He also said that I felt very bad. I thought who is this man who is calling me not fit. It was not his fault either. There was an audition for an advertisement, they wanted a face with a similar look. Now I did not study acting for two years to stand out in the crowd. Nor did I want anyone to look at my face and say that I am not fit. After that day I never went to any audition without being invited.
