Regarding this decision, The Guardian said, "Everything has become negative on social media platform X now. We want to inform our readers that we will no longer post any official Guardian article on X. He has more than 80 accounts on X, in which he has 27 million followers.

The Guardian further said in its statement, "The type of content they were concerned about on social media platform X included far-right conspiracy theories and racism." He further said that the site's coverage of the US presidential election made its decision clear.
