Bashar al-Assad's wife does not want to stay in Russia and wants to move back to London, The Jerusalem Post reported quoting Turkiye and Arab media sources that Asma al-Assad, wife of ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, has filed for divorce and expressed her desire to return to the United Kingdom.

 

The report said that Asma al-Assad is not happy with her life in Moscow, where Assad is living in exile. Asma has reportedly applied to a Russian court for special permission to leave the country, her application is currently awaited by Russian authorities.

The report claimed that Russian authorities have also seized his assets, including 270 kg of gold, $2 billion in cash and 18 properties in Moscow.
